Vacuuming still isn t fun but a solid cordless vacuum is more useful to me than a gimmicky robot.

Half an inch thick rug is simply too much for roomba 980.
This vacuum does the job until it is completed.
And they ve come down in price too you can get a decent roomba for a little over 300.
Now if you have this vacuum or planning to get one consider the carpets you have in your home.

After going through some research it is safe to say that the 900 series of the irobot roomba robot vacuums are probably the best irobot products because they seem to have all the good stuff.
If it is a mat then the roomba may end up pushing the mat all over the place.
Apparently though roomba can tackle most types of floors thick carpet is a challenge.

I can t think of anything.
More so getting roomba to cross from hardwood floor to a thick carpet is somewhat impossible.
But while plenty of people seem happy with their roombas i decided to return mine.

The initial problem with the roomba was my black white rug but because of your solution i was able to put pieces of white paper on top of the ledge sensors.
If the rug mat creates too much friction the roomba s rear rubber sweeper will get stuck and human intervention will be required.
The white tape i used was still too transparant.
I pretty much won t be able to allow the roomba to run on schedule when i m not home.
If the edges of the rug are just high enough the roomba will tend to curl up the rug neither going over or under it.
It eventually just gets stuck with it.
